For a long time now pokemon's starter pokemon have been cute, cuddly and either fire, grass, or water. I just really want to know, if ya'll follow you hearts, or just choose it because of it type. Then there are people who just don't get at all, but now I understand why they wouldn't.

Looking back I think I choose by it's type. Fire is my favorite and fighting is right behind. In both GS and DP the fire starters have been fire/fighting so my mind is made up already.
